This neat device connects between your scanner and PC's serial port.
Please note that this will ONLY work with a 9-pin serial port. USB-Serial converters are not compatible!
Also known as a 2-level FSK Interface.
The electronics built into the 9-pin serial plug will accurately decode all POCSAG tones up to bit rates of 2400.
Successful decoding of FLEX 1600 is also possible with the discriminator tap version.
ACARS (aircraft radio data) is also catered for when using the headphone/speaker output version.
In Australia, paging networks use the POCSAG system and can be found on VHF between 147-150 MHz.
Other countries use UHF (ie. 900 MHz band).

Which version should I choose?
Two versions of the decoder are available.
Generally, a discriminator tap is the preferred method. However, connection to the headphone/speaker
socket does provide excellent results - a good idea if you don't want to attempt a modification to your radio!
Detailed setup instructions are supplied with each decoder.
Software
To use the decoder requires PDW2.60 Download here
