A no pair hand is a surprisingly common one. Two pairs, on the other hand, are three cards of a similar rank and two cards of a different rank. Some games will even treat the ace as a low card.
Most poker variants have at least one betting interval. Each player must match the previous bet or make a new bet, and the player to the left of the big blind is first to act.
